When you become a supporter you will receive a newsletter 3 times a year with important news, Bazaar/Open Day dates, stories of cats that have been rescued and rehomed and other LCR information. A sample cat story has been provided below.
Suzie's Story
Suzie was a beautiful four-year-old calico tortoiseshell who had been found straying. When she came into the Shelter she had a big lump on her side which we thought might be a tumour. However, at the vet the next day, it was discovered she had a huge solid hairball in her stomach. The hairball was removed and Suzie came back to the shelter a lot happier. We kept her in the office while she recovered from her operation and within a few days she was running around the office like a kitten. We quickly realised that Suzie liked to suck on things: cushions, T-shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces ... she really wasn't fussy! We all found it really sweet, even though all the staff were walking around with soggy clothes! We were all delighted when Suzie found a new home after two months, but we do miss her cute wee face and big personality in the office.
