Bazaars
Saturday 4 February: 1.30pm - 3.30pm
The next Bazaar to raise funds for Lothian Cat Rescue will be held in Musselburgh Town Hall (65 High Street, Musselburgh, EH21 7BZ. There will be clothes, books, jewellery, beauty products, home baking and many other things on sale so do come along to indulge in a bit of retail therapy (always good for the soul!) and sample the delicious refreshments. Open days at the Shelter
Our June and July Open Days were a great success; the weather was kind to us and everyone enjoyed browsing through the stalls, looking for bargains, and sampling the delicious refreshments on offer!
Open Garden Days
One of our volunteers, Jean Knox, opened her garden for Scotland's Gardens in May and again in July last year. We were blessed with beautiful weather in July and, between the two dates, over £900 was raised. 40% of this (approximately £370) goes directly to Lothian Cat Rescue; the rest is divided between Scotland's Gardens' own beneficiaries. Everyone seemed to enjoy the garden and the home baking, and the two resident cats (Thelma & Chloe) provided ample entertainment!
The date for this year's opening is Sunday 13 May 2012, 2pm to 5pm
Shop Online and Raise Funds (CafePress)
At CafePress you can buy T-shirts, bags, mugs, etc, decorated with Lothian Cat Rescue's motif. For every item bought Lothian Cat Rescue receives a donation. So you can look great and support us at the same time!
Shop Online and Raise Funds (Easy Fundraising)
easyfundraising.org.uk is a shopping directory listing some of your favourite online stores including Amazon, NEXT, Debenhams, John Lewis, Toys R Us, HMV and over 500 others. Just use the links on the easyfundraising site whenever you shop online and, at no extra cost to you, we'll receive a free donation of up to 15% from every purchase you make. It really is that simple!
What do I do?
Just follows these steps, it's FREE and it's as easy as 1-2-3.
1. To start please Register so easyfundraising know which cause you want to support.
2. Next, login using your username / password. This is how the system recognises who you are and which cause benefits when you make purchases.
3. Finally, click any of the retailer links provided and then shop just as you would normally.
That's all you need to do - apart from remembering to return to the easyfundraising site and login next time you are going to shop online!!
Providing you login and use the retailer links provided easyfundraising will track all your transactions and pay the rescue the appropriate donations. These will then be displayed in your easyfundraising account (which you can access online). All these shops and more are helping us to care for and rehome cats by donating money every time you shop. Search the Web and Raise Funds
You can also raise funds when you search the web - with easysearch, a search engine with a difference!
When you search the web with easysearch, you’ll raise around 1p for us with every search you make! Just like easyfundraising it is completely free to use and if you make just 10 searches a day, you could raise £25 a year - or more - for us, just by switching to easysearch.
What do I do?
1. Click on easysearch.
2. Select 'Set as my Home Page' from the menu on the left to use easysearch to search the web from your Home page.
3. You could also click 'easysearch from my Browser' this will add a small search box to the top right of your browser page. 
Use it for quick searching. (If you have more than one search added to your browser you may have to use the drop-down to select easysearch.) Check out our unique easysearch page and use it every time you search the web.

The staff in the LCR shop are always delighted to receive donations of goods to help keep the shop well stocked. Bric-a-brac, especially, is always needed, as well as clothes, jewellery, books and household items. Why not have a Spring clean and see what you can find for us?
